The scope of the Trust extends across the State of Karnataka, operating within its jurisdiction to promote biodiversity conservation and environmental sustainability.

To conserve and protect local forests, wildlife, plant species, biodiversity, and natural resources.

Objectives of the Trust

Identify, protect, and conserve local biodiversity species that are on the verge of extinction.

Create awareness among the public and students about biodiversity and its conservation.

Educate local communities about the impact of invasive species on native ecosystems and biodiversity.

Promote awareness of natural, organic, and sustainable agricultural practices among farmers, students, and the public.

Identify and support traditional and indigenous healers, and develop, conserve, and promote medicinal forests essential for communities.

Organize initiatives to identify, rescue, and release endangered species back into their natural habitats.

Conduct research on environmental and wildlife degradation, develop solutions, and collaborate with government authorities for appropriate action.

Report harmful activities affecting wildlife to the Forest Department and advocate for necessary intervention.

Study human activities in protected environmental and biodiversity areas to assess their impact.

Research and promote measures to prevent environmental pollution and spread awareness through appropriate media channels.

Study traditional food systems, forest resources, historical places, and cultural heritage, and work with relevant authorities to preserve them.

Engage and empower local youth to contribute towards conservation efforts in collaboration with government and like-minded organizations.

Research and develop suitable local crops for farmers and provide guidance to support sustainable livelihoods.

The annual membership charge per member to participate in the activities of the Adi Biodiversity Trust is ₹1,000 (Rupees One Thousand only).
